The Fujikura MCI (Metal Composite Irons) is a graphite iron shaft built with Fujikura's Metal Composite Technology, which joins composite carbon with metals for strength and weight control. Fujikura rates it low-mid launch, low-mid spin and a mid bend point. This listing is the 0.370" parallel tip, sold one shaft per iron in the 60 series (R, S), 80 series (R, S) and 100 series (S). Our dropdown also lists a 100 X, which Fujikura does not list in its current MCI table; please contact us before ordering it.

Before you order: each shaft is sold for one iron, so order one per club and pick the iron in the dropdown. Fujikura makes the MCI in raw lengths from 40" down to 35.5".

Who It's For

Good fit if you...

  • Want a graphite iron shaft with metal in its construction
  • Want a low-mid launch and low-mid spin
  • Want to choose from about 63 g up to 106 g
  • Have irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel

Not the right fit if you...

How It Plays

Metal Composite Technology. Fujikura says it joins composite carbon with an array of metals for strength and weight control, and that it was developed to combine the best attributes of steel and graphite for even weight distribution and a balanced swing. Fujikura adds that the core uses full-length 40 Ton carbon fiber.

Low-mid flight. Fujikura rates every MCI build low-mid for launch and spin, with a mid bend point.

Three weights. The 60 series weighs 63 g (R) or 65 g (S), the 80 series 84 g or 86 g, and the 100 S 106 g. Torque drops from 2.9° in the 60 to 2.0° in the 80 and 1.6° in the 100 S.

Length = Fujikura's raw length range. Tip Flex and Butt Flex are Fujikura's stiffness numbers. M = mid, L/M = low-mid.

Will It Fit Your Irons?

This shaft is for irons with a 0.370" parallel-tip hosel, with a 2.5" parallel section. Order one shaft for each iron you are reshafting and pick the iron number in the dropdown; Fujikura makes the MCI in raw lengths from 40" to 35.5".

Not sure which tip your irons take? Take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz, or let us cut and install them with our Retrofit Service. For 0.355" taper-tip irons, Fujikura's Axiom 0.355" is made for each iron.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the MCI weigh?

Fujikura lists the 60 R at 63 g and the 60 S at 65 g, the 80 R at 84 g and the 80 S at 86 g, and the 100 S at 106 g. Fujikura does not list a 100 X, so contact us for the weight of the 100 X we stock before ordering it.

Which series and flex should I choose?

Fujikura does not publish a swing-speed chart for the MCI. Heavier series and stiffer flexes suit faster swings, and many players start near the weight of their current iron shafts. Contact us or take the Iron Shaft Finder Quiz if you are unsure.

What is Metal Composite Technology?

Fujikura's construction that joins composite carbon with metals for strength and weight control. Fujikura developed it to bring together the strengths of steel and graphite in one shaft.

What launch and spin does the MCI have?

Fujikura rates every MCI build low-mid launch and low-mid spin, with a mid bend point.

Is the MCI graphite or steel?

Graphite with metal in its construction. Fujikura calls it a metal composite shaft: a full-length 40 Ton carbon fiber core joined with metals.
