Taylormade Adapter Compatibility Guide

Alpha Golf carries TaylorMade-compatible shaft adapters for drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids — covering every major TaylorMade model from the current Qi35 lineup back through the M series, SIM, Stealth, SLDR, and legacy R9 and R11 generations. Note that TaylorMade has used multiple adapter generations over the years and they are not interchangeable — the R9/R11/Black RBZ generation uses a different hosel system from all other TaylorMade models. Our TaylorMade-compatible driver and fairway wood adapter fits .335" tip diameter shafts, is available in right and left hand, and is made from aircraft grade titanium, PVC, and rubber. One adapter covers every model listed below.

Hybrid Adapter Compatibility

Our TaylorMade-compatible hybrid adapter fits .370" tip diameter hybrid shafts — a different tip size from the driver and fairway wood adapter which uses .335". Available in right hand only, made from aircraft grade titanium, PVC, and rubber.

Important: The hybrid adapter uses a .370" tip — different from the .335" tip used by the driver and fairway wood adapter. Hybrid shafts are not interchangeable with driver or fairway wood shafts.

Which Adapter Do I Need?

I play a Qi35, Qi10, Stealth, SIM, SIM2, M series, SLDR, R1, R15, RBZ Stage 2, 300 Mini, or Jet Speed driver.

You need the TaylorMade-compatible driver and fairway adapter (.335" tip).

I play a TaylorMade R15, M1, or M3 hybrid.

You need the TaylorMade-compatible hybrid adapter (.370" tip). This is a separate fitting from the driver and fairway wood adapter.

I want assembled shafts for both my TaylorMade driver and fairway wood.

Both use the same adapter — one adapter covers both club types. However the shaft is tip-trimmed differently for each club type and playing length, so place a separate order for each.

I'm not sure which TaylorMade model I have.

Check the sole of your clubhead — the model name is stamped there on every TaylorMade driver, fairway wood, and hybrid. Once you have the model name, match it to the list above.

Always select the correct club type when ordering — driver/fairway wood shafts and hybrid shafts are different products built to different tip specifications.

  • Yes — one adapter covers both drivers and fairway woods within the compatible model list. However the shaft itself is tip-trimmed differently for a driver versus a fairway wood, so you will need to place a separate order for each club type and specify your playing length at the time of ordering.

  • Yes — as long as both your current and future driver are within the compatible model list, the adapter is interchangeable across all listed models. A shaft assembled for an M5 will seat and lock identically in a SIM2 or Qi35 without any modification. If you are unsure whether your new model is compatible, contact our team before ordering and we will confirm.
